今回ご紹介する品物は加藤孝造の志野茶碗です。加藤孝造（１９３５年生まれ）は、岐阜県土岐群出身の陶芸家です。１８歳の時、日展で最年少で洋画で入選し、後に陶器試験所で工芸の研究をしながら洋画を続けていました。人間国宝の荒川豊蔵の志野茶碗に出会い、２５歳で陶芸一筋の道へ入ります。その後、みるみる頭角を現し、日本伝統工芸展初入選や日本工芸会正会員など受賞し『炎の使い手』として知られるようになりました。志野、瀬戸黒、鼠志野、黄瀬戸などを中心に素晴らしい作品を制作し、国内外でも高い評価を得ました。２０１０年に瀬戸黒の重要無形文化財保持者（人間国宝）として認定されます。
こちらの茶碗は、存在感と迫力があり、色合いも鮮明ながら奥行があり落ち着いた風格があります。肌感も良く、茶碗のどこをとっても見応えのある作品です。

The item introduced here is a Shino tea bowl by Kozo Kato . Kozo Kato (born in 1935) is a ceramic artist from Toki-gun, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. 18 years old, he was the youngest person to be selected for the Nitten exhibition for Western-style painting, and later continued Western-style painting while studying crafts at the Ceramic Testing Laboratory. At the age of 25, he started his career as a ceramic artist after encountering Shino tea bowls made by Toyozo Arakawa, a living national treasure. He quickly rose to prominence, winning awards such as the first prize at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition and becoming a regular member of the Japan Crafts Association, and became known as a “flame wielder. In 2010, he was certified as the holder of Important Intangible Cultural Asset (Living National Treasure) for Setoguro.
This tea bowl has presence and power, and while the color is clear, it has depth and calm elegance. The texture is also good, and every part of the bowl is worth seeing.
