今回ご紹介の品物は、民芸の素朴さと実用性を兼ね備えた、濱田庄司の湯呑です。

1955年、『民芸陶器』にて人間国宝 『文化勲章』受章した濱田庄司（1894～1978）は、３６歳に栃木県益子町に移り住み、作陶を開始しました。

手 轆轤 のみを使用するシンプルな造形、釉薬の流描による大胆な模様を得意とし、 益子焼の代表的な作家となりました。

柳宗悦の同志として民芸運動の興隆にあたり、1961年、日本民藝館の第2代館長に就任、1977年には、自ら蒐集した 民芸品を展示する益子参考館を開館しています。

こちらの濱田庄司の湯呑は、只今、慈光店頭にて販売しております。

The item introduced here is a teacup by Shoji Hamada, which combines the simplicity and practicality of folk art.

Shoji Hamada (1894-1978), who was awarded the Living National Treasure “Order of Culture” in 1955 for his folk art ceramics,

moved to the town of Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture at the age of 36 and began making pottery.

He specialised in simple forms using only a hand wheel and bold patterns with flowing glazes, and became a representative artist of Mashiko ware.

As a comrade of Yanagi Muneyoshi, he was instrumental in the rise of the folk art movement, becoming the second director of the Japan Folk Art Museum in 1961

and opening the Mashiko Reference Centre in 1977, which exhibits his own collection of folk art.

This teacup by Shoji Hamada is now available in the Jikoh shop.

竹久夢二は、大正という平和で華やかな時代の波に乗って、数多くの美人画を描いています。中でも最高傑作と言われているのが、今回ご紹介の『黒船屋』です。

こちらは復刻版のリトグラフで、左下に限定300部の内73番と書かれています。夢二の遺族の元に残された資料によると、『黒船屋』を描く際にアールヌーヴォー

の代表的な画家、ヴァン・ドンゲルの『猫を抱く女』を参考にしたと言われてます。

大きくつぶらな瞳、愁いを含んだ表情、夢二が愛した女性は、いつも儚く表現されています。

Takehisa Yumeji painted numerous pictures of beautiful women on the wave of the peaceful and glamorous Taisho era.

One of his greatest masterpieces is the Kurofuneya (The Black Boatman) introduced here.

This is a reprinted lithograph, with the number 73 of a limited edition of 300 copies written in the lower left-hand corner.

According to documents left by Yumeji’s family, when he painted Kurofuneya, he referred to Van Dongel’s Woman Holding a Cat, one of the most famous painters of

the Art Nouveau movement.

With her large, dull eyes and melancholy expression, the woman Yumeji loved is always expressed in a fragile way.

1956年、国産初の自動巻腕時計を生産したセイコーですが、こちらは1960年代のセイコーマチック腕時計です。

また、ブローバは、1960年代当時66ft、約200ｍ防水を謳っていた本格ダイバーズウォッチです。

そして、スイスの高級時計ブランドの一つであるOMEGA(オメガ)は日本でも知名度が高く、懐中時計の場合は希少性があり、アンティーク・骨董品としての

店頭にて朝鮮総督府鉄道局の銅器を買い取りさせて頂きました。

1910年、朝鮮併合による統治のために設置された官庁です。

鉄道局は、朝鮮総督府鉄道の管理・運営、朝鮮における私設鉄道・軌道および陸運の監督事務を行いました

1917年に南満州鐵道に経営委託されますが、1925年（大正14年）南満洲鉄道への委託運営が解除され、総督府直営となるとともに、朝鮮総督府の外局として朝鮮総督府鉄道局が新設されました。

こちらの花瓶は、朝鮮総督府鉄道局が新設記念に製造された珍しいものです。

This vase is a rare example of a vase manufactured to commemorate the establishment of the new Korean Governor-General’s Office of Railways.
