人間国宝・井上萬二の茶碗をヤフーショッピングにて販売しております。

井上萬二は、白磁に新たな可能性を見出し、非常に芸術性の高い作品を生み出し、９４歳を超えてまだ、白磁を追求しています。

井上萬二は、軍人になりべく海軍予科練に入りますが復員し、父親の勧めで働いた柿右衛門窯で大物ろくろ師として名高い初代奥川忠右衛門に出会います。初代奥川忠右衛門の下で働き、後に白磁の第一人者として平成７年の「人間国宝」認定となりました。白磁は平凡な形が一番難しく、卓越した技術が必要で「伝統工芸の世界では用と美を兼ね備えて初めて人間性あふれる作品が生まれるものと信じている」と語っています。

こちらの茶碗は、大胆に牡丹彫りの模様が施され、非常に口縁から高台にかけて質の高い造りになっております。牡丹は、春牡丹が4～5月、寒牡丹が11月～1月、冬牡丹が1～2月と非常に長い季節で重宝出来ます。井上萬二らしい作品になっております。

Manji Inoue discovered new possibilities in white porcelain, created highly artistic works, and is still pursuing white porcelain at over 94 years of age.

Manji Inoue entered the Navy Preparatory Training Course to become a soldier, but was demobilized and worked at the Kakiemon Kiln on the advice of his father, where he met Okugawa Chuemon I, a renowned master potter. He worked under Okukawa Chuemon I and later became a leading expert in white porcelain, and was designated a “Living National Treasure” in 1995. He says that white porcelain is the most difficult to make ordinary shapes and requires outstanding skills, and “I believe that in the world of traditional crafts, works full of humanity are created only when they combine use and beauty.

This tea bowl is boldly decorated with a peony carving pattern and has a very high quality construction from the mouth rim to the base. Peonies are useful in a very long season: spring peonies from April to May, cold peonies from November to January, and winter peonies from January to February. It is a work typical of Manji Inoue.
