慈光では、骨董品のお買い取り、販売を行っております。
今回ご紹介する品物は、湖東焼です。湖東焼は江戸時代の文政期に絹屋半兵衛によって作られました。絹屋半兵衛は、彦根城下町の呉服商でした。全国で盛り上がっていた陶器の生産を彦根でも試みようとし、有田の伊万里焼の職人を招き窯を開きました。10年間試行錯誤しながら、焼成技術、華やかで繊細な絵付け、湖東焼独特のスタイルを築き彦根藩の協力もあり、藩が直営する焼き物になりました。白磁部分の原料にこだわり、呉須染付、赤絵など、専用の窯で焼き完成度が非常に高い陶磁器を制作しました。しかし、桜田門外の変で、井伊直弼が暗殺されると政情不安と職人のほとんどが離散してしまい藩窯は閉鎖を余儀なくされ、短い歴史に幕を閉じました。
こちらは、質の良い白磁に、濃淡のある呉須。草花の茎、葉、花びらの細かい所まで絵付けされております。
The item introduced here is Koto-yaki pottery. Koto Pottery was produced by Kinuya Hanbei during the Bunsei Period of the Edo Period. Kinuya Hanbei was a kimono merchant in Hikone Castle Town. After 10 years of trial and error, he developed firing techniques, gorgeous and delicate painting, and a style unique to Koto-yaki, and with the cooperation of the Hikone han (feudal domain), Koto-yaki became the pottery directly operated by the domain. With the cooperation of the Hikone clan, Koto-yaki became a pottery directly operated by the clan. However, when Ii Naosuke was assassinated in the Sakuradamon-oue Incident, political instability and the dispersion of most of the craftsmen forced the closure of the clan kiln and the end of its short history.
This is a high-quality white porcelain with dark and light shades of gosu. The stems, leaves, and petals of flowers and grasses are painted in fine detail.
